Publix Responds
In 2014, Scout learned that Oreo cookies contained palm oil and that according to -------, they use palm oil that was causing mass deforestation and the injury and killing or orangutans as well as other animals.
So, she packed all ther un-eaten Oreo packets into envelopes and sent letters to the makers of Oreo cookies and the the store her parents bought them from - Publix.
Publix more than just responded. They also reached out to the maker of Oreos to see if they were involved in deforestation and harming of animals. Kudos to them. We will keep shopping there!
