Alyssa's Recipe for Saving Rhinos

Alyssa Carter is an eight year old girl in South Africa. Since she was six years old she has been raising funds and awareness to help save rhinos. By selling chocolates, stickers and more she has raised over $23,000! Great job Alyssa!

The money Alyssa raises goes toward buying trained dogs for park rangers to find poachers at Kruger National Park. In a CNN interview by Mathew Ponsford, Alyssa's father says that park rangers "fight a desperate battle with poachers to prevent the extinction of the rhinoceros, whose horn is prized for its supposed value in traditional Asian medicines."
